Using a Virtual Number for WhatsApp: Setup and Verification Guide
A practical guide to checking country support, entering a virtual number correctly and understanding WhatsApp verification prompts.

WhatsApp decides whether a phone number can be used in its registration and verification flows. Before you begin, make sure your intended use complies with WhatsApp's terms and local law. A verification number does not guarantee that an account will be accepted or remain active.
Check the country code
Choose a country code that WhatsApp accepts for the flow you are completing. Enter the allocated number exactly as it appears in the active order, and do not add the country code a second time if the app has already selected it.
Read the verification screen carefully
WhatsApp may offer SMS, a call, a prompt on another device or a timed retry option. Only an SMS sent to the allocated number can appear in the active order screen. If WhatsApp shows another channel, follow the instruction it displays rather than waiting for an SMS that was not sent.
Avoid repeated requests
Repeated code requests, rapid device changes and inconsistent connection details can trigger a platform's security controls. Request one code, wait for the stated period and keep the app open on a stable connection where possible.
Keep account security in mind
Never share a received code or sign-in link. If WhatsApp rejects a number or asks for a different verification method, SMSKap cannot override that platform decision. Review the platform's prompt and its applicable policies before trying again.
When to contact support
If an SMS was requested but does not arrive, include the order reference, selected country and the exact method shown by WhatsApp in a support request. Do not include passwords, one-time codes or private account information.
